Molten lava rapidly cooled forms igneous rock known as Basalt. The constant flowing and cooling creates small islands which form into large land masses and eventually continents. Civilization is an inspiration based on the entire process of human history. This porcelain tile from Crossville features all the natural properties of this ancient stone. Natural variations in color and a smooth, fine-grained appearance with crystalline flecks are blended together creating a realistic visual. Civilization is great for commercial spaces and fits perfectly at "home" in residential settings too. Field tile sizes are available in UPS & SPO finishes and only UPS is recommended for interior floors, interior walls, countertops, exterior walls, pool waterlines and full linings* in both residential and commercial applications. The SPO field tiles are NOT recommended for wet areas where standing water may occur. Civilization is carefully and responsibly made in the USA and represents a significant first step toward achieving their current short-term goal of a 30% carbon footprint reduction.
